Getting your piece to your door.
Every piece is hand-crafted in Mpumalanga and shipped from our atelier to anywhere in South Africa. Here's exactly what to expect from the moment you click pay.
1 · Where we ship
Bling Katrien currently ships within South Africa only. Every province is covered, from major metros to rural addresses, and our courier partners handle the last mile to your door (or your nearest pickup point if your address is outside their door-to-door zone).
International shipping isn't available yet. If you'd like to be notified when we open it up, drop a line to support@blingkatrien.com and we'll add you to the early-access list.
2 · Shipping cost
Shipping is a flat R 80 per order, regardless of how many pieces you've added to the bag or where in the country you are. No surprise surcharges at checkout.
Orders over R 1 500 ship free — automatically applied at checkout, no code needed.
3 · Made to order — 2-week lead time
Every piece is hand-crafted to order in our Mpumalanga atelier. The default lead time before your order ships is 2 weeks — that's the atelier's build window, cutting, sewing, and finishing each piece by hand.
Some pieces have shorter or longer lead times depending on the complexity of the work involved. The exact lead time is shown on each product page below the price, and on the order confirmation we send when you check out.
Orders placed on weekends or South African public holidays start their lead time count on the next business day.
4 · Once it ships — delivery time
After the atelier has finished your piece, we hand it off to the courier. From there, expect:
- Main metros (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, East London): 2–3 business days
- Smaller towns & outlying areas: 3–5 business days
- Rural addresses (where the courier doesn't offer door delivery): you'll collect from the nearest courier pickup point, usually within 3–5 business days
So a typical order is roughly 2 weeks lead time + 2–5 business days with the courier — your confirmation email shows the exact "expected to ship by" date for your order.
Load-shedding stage 4 and above, courier strikes, and other out-of-our-hands events can add a business day or two. We monitor and reach out proactively if your parcel is affected.
5 · Tracking
You'll get an email with your tracking number the moment your parcel is collected by the courier. The same tracking number is visible inside your account under My account → Orders, so you don't need to keep the email pinned.
6 · Address accuracy
Please double-check your address at checkout — including the suburb, the postal code, and your phone number for the courier.
If a parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we'll let you know and arrange a re-ship at a flat R 80 re-delivery fee (covers the courier's second leg). The pieces themselves stay reserved for you in the meantime.
7 · Failed delivery
Couriers attempt delivery twice on consecutive business days. If no one's home both times, the parcel goes to the courier's nearest pickup point and is held for 10 business days for collection. After that it's returned to us, and we'll be in touch about a re-ship (per above) or a refund of the items (original shipping fee is not refunded).
8 · Lost in transit
Tracking hasn't moved in more than 5 business days? Send us a note at support@blingkatrien.com with your order number. We'll follow up with the courier directly — if the parcel can't be located within 14 business days, we'll refund or replace at your choice.
9 · Damaged in transit
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please:
- Photograph the parcel before opening it
- Open carefully and photograph the contents
- Email support@blingkatrien.com with the photos and your order number, within 48 hours of delivery
We'll replace the damaged piece (or refund if it's no longer available) at no extra cost to you. The faster you flag it, the easier the claim with the courier.
10 · Click-and-collect
We don't currently offer in-person collection from the atelier — everything ships via courier so each piece gets the same care in transit.
